Presenting for the first time at Serbia Fashion Week, French designer Sandrine Philippe was definitely one of the standout shows of the season, reflected in the designers’ Best International Designer award at this year’s Serbia Fashion Awards. Showing her menswear SS16 collection, Philippe introduced us into her unique world of textile manipulation, creating evocative garments that are fragile and strong with each piece telling a story.

The Sandrine Philippe collection once again steps outside the usual ready-to-wear conventions for Spring/Summer 2016. The collection revists fashion design taking an approach that sees the garments as a continuation of the body. As previously seen, the clothing evolves andchanges in order to be nothing more than an organic outer skin of a contemporary individual.
