Presenting for the first time at Serbia Fashion Week, French designer Sandrine Philippe was definitely one of the standout shows of the season, reflected in the designers’ Best International Designer award at this year’s Serbia Fashion Awards. Showing her menswear SS16 collection, Philippe introduced us into her unique world of textile manipulation, creating evocative garments that are fragile and strong with each piece telling a story.
Most of the times , the clothes wears you but when it come to Sandrine Philippe’s outfits, they definitely mean something. They show your journey through thick and thin , the fabric can be a scar or a cashmere heeled wound over a layer of the softest leather. They grow with you like poison ivy and soon make one with your personality, achieving the ultime dream of any fashion lover : dressing up in a wardrobe that represents your inner turmoil.
Meet Sandrine Philippe, Paris based designer that I discovered at Serbia Fashion Week. She is the kind of designer the fashion industry needs at the moment. Devoted with genuine passion for her work, Sandrine stays true to her ideals and pursues her paths without following the fading trends.
